Start a session and head out. When you bring your route back to where it began, the loop closes and the ground inside it is filled in as your territory on the map. The bigger the loop, the more you own.
Your GPS path is the game. It’s what draws your territory on the map. goio only uses location while you have a session running, never in the background.
Yes, and that’s the point. Other players can run overlapping routes to reclaim ground from you. Head back out to defend your turf, or capture theirs.
Yes. An account saves your territory and puts you on the leaderboards.
Email [email protected] and we’ll delete your account and all associated data within 30 days.
Force-close and reopen it, and make sure you’re on the latest version from the App Store. If it keeps happening, email us a quick note on what you were doing when it crashed.
Not yet - goio is iPhone only for now. Android is on the roadmap.

What we collect, and what we don’t.
goio collects only what it needs to run: your GPS route, an email for your account, and anonymised crash and usage data. We never sell your data.
