Privacy Policy

Data & privacy at a glance
goio collects a small set of data to deliver the game and stay reliable. None of it is sold, and none of it is linked to your identity.
What we collect
Precise location
Required for the core loop - recording your route and mapping the territory you claim.
Your precise GPS path is recorded only while a session is active. It’s used to calculate the territory you claim and to render your route so it persists across sessions.
Only while you’re actively recording a session (“While Using the App”). goio never accesses your location in the background or when the app is closed.
Email address
Used solely for creating your account, signing you in, and essential transactional messages.
Your email creates and secures your account and sends sign-in or password-reset links. We don’t use it for marketing without your explicit consent.
Usage data
Anonymised interaction data that shows us how goio is used and where to improve.
We record anonymised events such as screens visited, features tapped, and session length. This data is aggregated and can’t be used to identify you.
Diagnostics
Automatic crash reports that help us find and fix bugs quickly.
If the app crashes, a report with the stack trace, device type, iOS version, and app version is submitted automatically. These reports contain no personal information.

goio does not sell, rent, trade, or transfer your personal information to third parties for advertising. We never have, and we never will.
Data is used only to operate the app, improve stability, and understand usage in aggregate. Any third-party service we use is contractually barred from using your data for anything other than providing that service to us.
Data retention
We keep data only as long as it’s needed.
Territory and route data is kept while your account is active. Crash reports are deleted after 90 days. Anonymised analytics are retained only in aggregate.
You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by emailing us. We action deletion requests within 30 days.
Children’s privacy
goio is not directed at children under 13.
goio is not intended for children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your region). We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we’ll delete it promptly.
Changes to this policy
We’ll tell you if anything important changes.
We may update this policy from time to time. For material changes, we’ll notify you in-app or by email before they take effect. The effective date above always reflects the latest update.
Continued use of goio after changes are posted means you accept the updated policy.
